  • Compliance first. We align with GOV.UK translation requirements so your application isn’t delayed on a technicality.

  • Spanish expertise. Native Spanish (Spain & LATAM) linguists with sector experience (legal, academic, medical, financial).

  • End-to-end options. Notarisation, legalisation and apostille guidance when a body explicitly requires it (e.g., certain overseas uses).

  • Speed & clarity. Same-day quotes, 24–48h standard delivery, secure digital copies + tracked postage where needed.

  • Data security. Encrypted upload, GDPR-compliant processes, NDA on request.

What “certified” means in the UK (and when “sworn” applies)

In the UK, certified translations for visa/passport/court/university use must include: a confirmation of accuracy, date, translator’s full name & signature, and contact details for verification. That’s it—no notary needed unless the authority explicitly requires it.

Going to Spain? You may need a “Sworn Translation” (Traducción Jurada) by a translator appointed by Spain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (listed by the Spanish Consulate in London). We can route jobs to a Spanish sworn translator (TIJ) when required.

Documents we translate (Spanish ↔ English)

  • Personal/Civil: birth, marriage, divorce, death certificates; passports/ID, police clearances.

  • Immigration/Visas: bank statements, payslips, employment letters, tenancy proofs, sponsorship letters.

  • Academic: diplomas, transcripts, degree certificates, reference letters.

  • Legal/Corporate: court orders, company registers, contracts, powers of attorney.

  • Medical: vaccination records, medical reports, doctor’s letters.

If it’s scannable or photographable, we can translate and certify it.

Turnaround & pricing guidance

  • Standard: 24–48 hours for common 1–3 page documents.

  • Express: Same-day/next-day options for urgent deadlines.

  • Pricing: Transparent per-page or per-word based on language direction, complexity and formatting. (Upload for an instant, itemised quote.)

Note: UKVI/HM Passport Office typically require certified, not notarised, translations; we’ll advise if a notary/apostille is needed for a specific destination.

Spain vs Latin America: choosing the right Spanish

We offer Castilian (ES-ES) and Latin American variants (ES-LATAM) and mirror source formats (stamps, seals, handwriting) for smooth official checks. (This is a frequent oversight on competitor pages—we handle it up-front.)

Use cases & acceptance

  • UK visas & immigration (UKVI/Home Office) — certified translation rules are explicit; we follow them verbatim.

  • HM Passport Office — certified translations accepted when documents aren’t in English/Welsh.

  • Universities, courts, DVLA — certification formatted for independent verification.

Frequently Asked Questions

What must a UKVI-accepted certified translation include?

A confirmation it’s an accurate translation, the date, the translator’s full name & signature, and contact details for verification.

Do I need a notary for UK visas?

Usually no. A certified translation is sufficient unless an authority specifically asks for notarisation/legalisation.

What’s the difference between UK “certified” and Spain “sworn”?

UK = certified with statement of accuracy; Spain = sworn translator (TIJ) appointed by the Spanish Ministry. We can provide either as needed.

Can I submit a photo of my document?

Yes—if clear and legible. We may request a scan for poor images.

How fast can you deliver?

Standard 24–48h for typical personal docs; faster options available.

Will my university/court accept it?

We format certifications for independent verification and advise if any extra formalities are required.
